With the changes of history, Lin Jue Temple has long since ceased to exist, leaving only the mountain gate and a nine-level gratitude tower.

In the memory image, the Gratitude Pagoda has always been a quaint and elegant jujube appearance with an antique charm. This renovation completely changed the color of the pagoda. Why has the color of the pagoda changed?

As a relic of Buddhist culture in the South Bank of Qing Dynasty, the Gratitude Pagoda is an ancient architectural art created by Qing people in the landscape pattern of the South Bank according to local conditions, which has high religious and cultural values and architectural artistic values.

Octagonal Pavilion-style nine-level hollow brick tower, a gratitude tower made of brick and stone, gathers and contracts layer by layer from bottom to top, with protruding edges and corners around each layer, which is exquisite in design, beautiful in appearance, solid in structure and magnificent.

The ancient pagoda of gratitude

If you walk into the Thanksgiving Tower, you can climb from the bottom to the top along the spiral stone steps. For example, in the construction process, the slightly damaged part of the stone wall is desalinated with yarn fog, and the surface is windproof. The cement and interior wall paint applied during the previous random repair were removed, and the original appearance of the ancient pagoda was perfectly restored with stone.

Although the renovation of this ancient pagoda is still in the final stage, I have begun to imagine that maybe one day this summer, I can sit in the quiet garden of Hoonji.

I can soak a cup of Longjing before tomorrow, or Emei Xueya, while radiating air and squinting at the high tower. The disappearance of Lin Jue Temple has become a great regret in Chongqing's history.
