Dagang Power Plant is the main power plant in North China Power Grid. Vigorously carry out comprehensive utilization of fly ash, comprehensive utilization of seawater, technical transformation of equipment and wastewater treatment, and achieved outstanding results.

Fly ash is the residue of boiler combustion in power plant, but it has light texture and good thermal insulation performance, and can be used as a composite material in the construction field to solve the problem of concrete uniformity. Using it as cement additive to make hollow block can improve strength and reduce cost. In addition, it can also be used to make fly ash bricks, sandwich bricks and dry powder mortar, and to produce thermal insulation materials. From 1993, Dagang Power Plant began to devote itself to the treatment and utilization of fly ash, and by 1999, zero emission of fly ash was basically realized. In order to maintain the effective and sustainable development of the fly ash market, a cement powder station with an annual output of 300,000 tons was built by joint venture at the end of 2004, which increased the scientific and technological added value of fly ash.

Sulfur dioxide emitted from flue gas is the chief culprit of acid rain and ecological destruction. The sulfur content in coal combustion in power plants is about 1%, which will seriously damage the environment if it is discharged into the atmosphere. From 2002 to 2005, Dagang Power Plant invested 230 million yuan, and installed wet high-efficiency desulfurization devices for 1 and No.2 units in the first phase of unit transformation, which not only reduced sulfur dioxide emissions by about 20,000 tons per year, but also provided high-quality gypsum raw materials for the market. At present, No.3 and No.4 high-efficiency desulfurization facilities in Dagang Power Plant are also under planning, and it is expected that the flue gas 100% desulfurization will be realized in 2008.

The awareness of energy conservation and environmental protection in Dagang Power Plant has penetrated into all aspects of work details: the whole plant takes out 300,000 yuan as an energy conservation award every year, conducts energy conservation analysis every month, and rewards those units and personnel who have made outstanding contributions in energy conservation. During the Tenth Five-Year Plan period, HEC has successively completed dozens of technical renovation projects, such as oil-fired boiler renovation, steam turbine shaft seal renovation, reclaimed water reuse, and frequency conversion speed regulation of large motors. Among them, the transformation of steam turbine shaft seal saves 6.5438+0.5 million tons of standard coal every year; The frequency conversion transformation of large-scale motors saves electricity by 3132,000 kwh per year, saving cost by1110,000 yuan; The commissioning of reclaimed water utilization project not only makes the sewage of power plant 100% purified and reused, but also provides clean water for production system.

As a major industrial water user, the large-scale seawater desalination work of Hong Kong TV University is famous all over the country. Two imported multi-stage flash desalination plants with a daily output of 6,000 tons of fresh water have been in operation for 16 years, producing nearly 20 million tons of fresh water. While meeting the demand for production water, Dagang Power Plant established Haide Runzi Food Co., Ltd., the largest seawater desalination civil water production plant in North China, on 200 1, and successively developed a series of products such as purified water, mineralized water, fruit juice and beverage. The products of this factory have occupied the markets of Beijing and Tianjin, and exported to Marshall Islands, Kuwait and other countries and regions.
