Don't Samsung phones stop production in China just because they want the China market?

Samsung mobile phones will be discontinued in China because the labor force in China is not as cheap as before in recent years. Because Samsung, as a mobile phone manufacturer, hopes to make more profits, it will move its factory to Vietnam and India, where labor is cheaper. However, it is impossible for Samsung to give up the China market, and it may increase its investment in the mobile phone market in China.

Samsung closed the last mobile phone factory in China (Huizhou factory). This Huizhou Samsung factory is located in Chen Jiang Town, Huicheng District, Huizhou City. 1992 was established and 1993 was officially put into production. Mobile phone production was introduced in 2006. Up to now, it has developed into 40 GSM/CDMA/3G mobile phone production lines and more than 30 SMD automatic production lines. It is Samsung's main production base in China.

However, although Samsung's global mobile phone shipments are huge, its position in China is threatened by domestic mobile phone manufacturers, and its position has plummeted. The rise of domestic mobile phones forced Samsung to reposition its brand, but China is a country with a large population and a big consumer. It is a difficult decision for Samsung to suspend the production of its only mobile phone factory in China, but the move is to improve efficiency. However, I don't think Samsung will give up the China market. After all, the domestic market potential is still huge, which is very attractive for Samsung to expand its mobile phone market share in China in the future.

However, considering the current situation of the global mobile phone market, in order to improve the efficiency of global production and operation, Samsung had to make a decision to stop production in Huizhou. In recent years, domestic labor costs have risen, so Samsung moved the mobile phone factory in Huizhou, so the production capacity has been transferred to Vietnam, India and other countries. After all, the survival of enterprises depends on costs.
