Is there Montessori education in China in 2000?

Montessori education was introduced in China in 2000. At the beginning of the 20th century, Montessori education was introduced to China with the appearance of China version of Montessori Education Law. At present, Montessori is one of the most frequently used words in preschool education, newspapers and magazines, TV books and the Internet. In 2005, a survey in eight cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Wuhan, Hangzhou, Chengdu and Shijiazhuang, showed that 92.8% of kindergarten directors knew about Montessori, and 78.8% of the top 20 kindergartens in various places introduced Montessori teaching, making Montessori a first-class kindergarten.
