The 20th Research Institute of China Electronics Technology Corporation (also known as Xi 'an Navigation Technology Research Institute) was established in June 196 1, located in Xi 'an, the ancient city of China. It successively belongs to the Ministry of Machinery Industry, the Ministry of Electronics Industry of People's Republic of China (PRC) (China), the Ministry of Machinery and Electronics Industry, the Ministry of Information Industry and other central ministries and commissions. It is a large-scale high-tech backbone research institute managed by China Electronics Technology Group Corporation.

The 20th Research Institute of China Electronics Technology Corporation now has 7 R&D departments, 4 marketing departments, 10 functional management department, 2 equipment debugging and manufacturing departments, 8 guarantee and service departments and 6 civilian products companies.
