The difference between hot stamping and thermal transfer printing

The difference between hot stamping and thermal transfer;

1, hot stamping, commonly known as "hot stamping", refers to the hot stamping of characters and patterns made of materials such as colored foil on the first or fourth cover of hardcover book case and back, or hot stamping of various convex and concave titles or patterns. Thermal transfer printing is a new method of printing patterns on various materials, especially suitable for making a small number of personalized and customized goods and printing patterns containing full-color images or photos.

2. The essence of hot stamping is transfer printing, which is the process of transferring the pattern on anodized aluminum to the substrate through heat and pressure. Thermal transfer is to print digital patterns on a special transfer paper with a special transfer printing ink by a printer, and then transfer the patterns to the surface of goods accurately with a special transfer machine at high temperature and high pressure to complete the printing of goods.

3. Hot stamping is to laminate the heated hot stamping head and the metal or paint on the hot stamping film on the surface of the workpiece to achieve the purpose of decoration or identification. In the transfer printing process, the exquisite patterns on the transfer printing film are transferred to the product surface through one-step processing (heating and pressurizing) by a thermal transfer printing machine, and the molded ink layer is integrated with the product surface, which is vivid and beautiful, and greatly improves the product grade.

4. Four basic conditions of hot stamping process: hot stamping head includes hot stamping template, heater and pressure transmission mechanism. Thermal transfer is divided into billion and thermal transfer. Thermal transfer technology can also use various transfer materials to achieve different printing effects, the most important being film transfer and sublimation transfer.

Thermal transfer printing is a new printing technology, which has been introduced from abroad for more than 10 years. The printing mode of this process is divided into two parts: transfer film printing and transfer processing. The transfer film is printed by dot printing (resolution up to 300dpi), and the pattern is printed on the surface of the film in advance. The printed pattern is rich in layers, colorful, ever-changing, with small color difference and good reproducibility, which can meet the requirements of designers and is suitable for mass production.

Precautions for expanding data:

1, the printer generates heat, smoke, peculiar smell, abnormal sound, etc. Please cut off the power immediately and contact the information officer.

2. It is forbidden to place other items on the printer. Please unplug the printer from the power outlet when it is not used for a long time.

When it thunders nearby, unplug the power plug from the socket. If the power supply is plugged in, the machine may be damaged.

4. Printing is prohibited when printing paper and ribbon box are not set. The print head and print roller will be damaged.

5. The temperature of the print head is very high. Don't touch it until the temperature drops. Prevent burns and injuries.

6. Do not touch the metal parts of the print cable connector and the print head. Do not touch the print head while it is working.

7. When the print head is working, it is forbidden to cut off the power supply.

8. Do not disassemble, move or drag at will. If there is any trouble, please contact the information officer.

9. Foreign objects (staples, metal sheets, liquids, etc.). ) Do not enter the machine, otherwise it will cause electric shock or machine failure.

10, the printer can only be turned on when the power supply is normal and the data cable is connected to the computer.

1 1. Please do not move, drag or turn off the printer when printing.

12. When the printing quantity is too large, control the printing quantity within 30 copies and let the printer rest for 5- 10 minutes to avoid overheating and damage to the printer.

13. When printing documents, it is not allowed to use paper with too high thickness (above 80g) or wrinkled and folded paper.

14. If the printer is damaged due to serious physical damage, man-made damage or non-compliance with the above operating specifications, the relevant responsible person will be investigated.
