Over the past 40 years, the Second Public Bureau has mainly undertaken "high, new, special and difficult" road and bridge projects, with the world's largest cable-stayed bridge (main span1088m)-Sutong Yangtze River Highway Bridge and the world's second largest suspension bridge (main span1650m)-Zhoushan Xihoumen. Various types of river-crossing bridges and independent bridges 197 have been built, with a total length exceeding 2 1 10,000 linear meters, including 8 long-span suspension bridges 12 long-span cable-stayed bridges12. The fourth bridge, the fifth bridge, the sixth bridge and the ninth bridge of Qiantang River have been successfully built continuously on the Qiantang River, which is the highest tide in the world, and the sea-crossing bridge represented by Qingdao Bay Bridge and Xiamen Xinglin Railway Bridge has been built. A large number of national key large-scale expressway projects have been undertaken, represented by the Shanghai-Nanjing-expressway Demonstration Road in expressway, China and its reconstruction and expansion project. The total length of highways at all levels is 7800 kilometers, of which high-grade highways exceed 6500 kilometers.
