Huojia County is located in the northern part of Henan Province , in the west of Xinxiang City. East longitude 113°30′-113°44′, north latitude 35°02′-35°20′. It is connected to Xinxiang County in the east, Yuanyang County in the south, Wuzhi and Xiuwu Counties in the west, and faces Huixian City across the Dasha River in the north. The territory is 34 kilometers long from north to south and 21.4 kilometers wide from east to west, with a total area of ??473.15 square kilometers, of which the urban area is 18 square kilometers. Huojia County was Ningyi in ancient Xia and Shang dynasties and belonged to the hinterland of Ji.
