Knitted sweater ordering process and precautions

As a merchandiser, you should fully prepare and understand the order information. So what are the ordering procedures and precautions for knitted sweaters? Let’s find out together!

1. Craftsmanship Order

1 First, perform text processing on the process order and translate it into Chinese.

2. Check with the process orders of previous years (mainly referring to old customers) to study whether there are any new changes or errors. Pay special attention to whether there are any special requirements or unclear instructions on the process orders. The department must communicate with customers in a timely manner. If customers do not understand something, they can handle it according to the regular operation requirements of the order.

3 Check the process sheet item by item: (1) First, the main materials, such as the type of fabric, yarn count, structure, weight, and color (pay special attention to special colors, such as hemp gray); (2) Accessories, including zippers (whether specifically, such as YKK), ropes, buttons, eyelets, lace, elastic bands, woven fabrics (pay attention to whether dyeing is required), flat knitting ribs, main labels, washed labels, hang tags, Decorative signs, etc.

4. Carefully study English embroidery and other processing methods according to the process sheet, such as fabric mercerization, washing, tie-dying, etc. (There is no detailed information about English embroidery in the HTP order, and even printing is not included in the initial proofing. There are no clear instructions on color or printing size. The customer only has one request: good effect. Although the customer gives this right to the factory, it also brings certain difficulties to the factory. It has to guess the customer's mentality and take the initiative to innovate and design something. . At this point, this requirement of the customer should be adapted as soon as possible).

2. Price verification

After carefully studying the process sheet, arrange for price verification, that is, fill in the price verification form. When filling in the price verification form, you must be clear and careful. Who has passed the verification process? Those who should check but fail to do so should bear primary responsibility; it is recommended that the merchandiser should prepare a list of factory fabrics, yarn count, weight, and width, so that when the same fabric is encountered in the future price review, the price can be determined according to the fixed price. Please fill in the price verification form according to the craftsmanship. It is best to have a price list of British embroidery prices.

1 Verify the yarn count, weight, width or difficulty of production of related fabrics required by the customer on the process sheet. This is mainly to communicate with the dyeing and finishing factory. After confirmation, clarify the relevant information on the fabric. This allows craftsmen to check fabric width and weight information with the dyeing and finishing factory when calculating materials, and pay attention to the comparison of fabric yarn count and weight to facilitate the calculation of materials.

2. The personnel in the process room make calculations about the amount of process. At this time, they need to check the situation of auxiliary materials (especially Baijia Haohao customers generally specify manufacturers for auxiliary materials, and further confirm the prices of auxiliary materials to avoid large quantities of goods. If there is a price difference after production is put into production), explain in detail, and ask the customer which auxiliary materials are supplied by the customer, the type of printing and the type of embroidery thread to avoid omissions. If the customer has special requirements, special instructions are needed.

3. The production workshop calculates the production volume and processing fee according to the process sheet. Since the workshop calculates with reference to the process sheet, many of the contents are only "paper talks". Therefore, samples are provided as much as possible if possible. For any information on the process sheet or special instructions from the customer, the production department must be informed in detail (preferably in writing) so that the accounting can be as accurate as possible.

4 Summarize the information and calculate the price. Since estimators are used to conducting price assessments based on the information they know, when customers have special requirements, they must provide clear instructions and relevant reminders, such as fabrics with special requirements (washing or not, etc.) and accessories that are quite unique. British embroidery prices, etc. All of this must be written down in detail and accurately in the price verification information or process sheet for future reference.

5. If the price of some accessories and English embroidery is not clear when quoting, you must Indicate the prices of the listed accessories and British embroidery. For example, orders from Baijia Haohao often specify the accessories factory, while orders from Weijia and Europe and the United States involve fabric testing and garment testing (the customer specifies the accessories, and the merchandiser must pay attention. If the merchandiser If it is not clearly marked, the merchandiser must bear the main responsibility; all responsible persons must learn to read the information on the price verification list, be sure to read it clearly, and be familiar with the information they handle; if you have special requirements, you must inform the price verification person) .

3. Sample preparation

Generally speaking, after the price is quoted, if the customer feels that the price is close or acceptable, he will ask to arrange sample preparation (in principle, negotiate the price first, and then Proofing; in principle, no samples are prepared for new customers, and sample preparation will require a sample fee).

The main things to pay attention to when preparing samples (the key to sample preparation is to ensure delivery time and quality, so the data we handle must be accurate and consistent with customer requirements to ensure that the samples are confirmed in time and avoid repeated rework): (1) Samples

1 Style sample. Generally speaking, the style sample mainly depends on the workmanship. It can be used instead of fabrics, but when there is a color matching, it must be matched appropriately. The size and workmanship are completely in accordance with the customer's instructions and requirements.

2. Confirmation sample. As a confirmation sample, what customers value is that the color must be correct, the accessories must be complete, and the printing and embroidery must be done as required. Especially the fabrics representing large goods must be good. Because generally Generally speaking, the confirmation sample is for the designer to see, so it must be good, accurate, and in line with the designer's taste. This work is very important. If it is not done well, it can be said that all the efforts have been wasted and everything is in vain.

Things to note

1. First of all, you need to know English about garment making, but I believe that if you are good at practical English, you will be able to get started soon.

2. Know the craftsmanship of making clothes and know what stitches are used. (It’s actually good to learn QC, or go to the workshop to follow up, so you can get started faster, and communicate more with the master)

3 Follow-up: receive the customer information-translate to the room manager - When handling a room, you need to follow up on the progress - Check to see if you have made any mistakes after finishing the work - Send it out and wait for approval - Carry out the work based on customer reviews. Each company has different methods, so the names of the work done are different. "Image version → First version → Batch version → Batch version → Sales version" → Bulk version → Production version"

4 Quotation: After making the version, you must make a quotation. "This is very important, because it is related to your company's profit, so you should quote 30% more on the basis of the base price"

5. Follow the order: When something is done, someone will place an order - place various orders according to the order Fabric accessories - follow up the progress of various materials - coordinate the production progress with the workshop - shipment (the follow-up and order-following here are not very separate, but are connected. While following-up, the order also comes , so the various steps of follow-up are also done at the same time.) The above are the factory follow-up requirements in Guangdong, and some terms in Guangdong for trade follow-up of knitwear. The general procedure is as follows: accept customer instructions, analyze incoming product materials, Purchasing incoming materials, making samples (mainly going to the factory to understand the implementation of samples, the production process suitable for customers' product requirements, and keeping abreast of the production progress to meet the delivery date), sending samples to customers for approval, and putting large quantities into production. The production process is cumbersome and error-prone. The processing factory will give you trouble, and so will the customers, so be mentally prepared.
