Where is Cai Wu Bay?

Cai Wu Bay is located in the north of Jimsar County, Changji Prefecture.

There is a colorful world on a Gobi desert, that is, Colorful Bay, which is famous for its strangeness, mystery and magnificence. This is a masterpiece of nature. For thousands of years, due to the movement of the earth's crust, very thick coal seams have been formed here. After many vicissitudes, the sand covering the surface has been eroded by wind and rain, exposing the coal seam and burning under the action of lightning and sunshine, forming this strange natural landscape.

One of the major features of Colorful Bay with beautiful scenery is Guhai Hot Spring, which is a hot spring formed by spontaneous gushing of ancient marine sedimentary water in the country. Since 2002, Xiyu Tourism Development Co., Ltd. has invested more than 30 million yuan to build Guhai Hot Spring into a well-known resort for leisure, exploration, fitness and recuperation.

It is said that this hot spring was discovered in the early 1980s. At that time, the drilling team drilled this hot spring when drilling oil wells here. This unexpected discovery has brought new content to the life of local herders. They often come here together all year round to enjoy this "water that can cure diseases" and give this hot spring the meaning of praying and eliminating disasters. Suitable Travel Time Jimsar County, where Cai Wu Bay is located, has unique climatic conditions with four distinct seasons, with an annual average temperature of 6.5℃, frost-free period 170 days in plain areas and frost-free period 145 days in mountainous areas. The suitable tourist season is autumn.

History and Culture The geological history of Colorful Bay is an ancient lake basin. Due to the periodic change of climate, cold, hot, dry and wet, and the shock change of crustal movement, various bright lake rocks have been deposited here, gradually forming a colorful world wonder. It is also a vivid embodiment of nature. Due to the crustal movement, a very thick coal seam was formed here. After many vicissitudes, the river stones covering the surface have been eroded by wind and rain, exposing the coal seam. Under the action of lightning and sunlight, the exposed coal seam has burned violently. Due to the accumulation of sintered rocks and the different mineral compositions in different geological periods, the rolling hills in this area are mainly ochre, mixed with yellow, white, black and green colors.
