General situation of dawang town

Dawang Town Government is located in Dawang Hall, with a population of 56,000 and an area of 83.5 square kilometers. It governs 32 administrative villages: Dagang, Xiangzi, Jinzhai, Baxiang, Zhu Long, Xiangkou, Shanghai Beach, Zhongzhuang, Conghui, Xia Long, Lianhua, Xia Yan, Shang Yan, Dong Gang, Gangxi, Nanshan, Liu Xia, Kanxia, Ke Fan, Xiajie, Fengshu, Jiangxiang and Xiajie.

Dajin Provincial Road runs through the whole town, 2 kilometers westbound, connected to National Road 106, 40 kilometers away from Wuhan/kloc-0, and only 30 kilometers away from Huangshi, with convenient transportation. The town's cultivated land area is 26,824 mu, including paddy field area 1 1588 mu and water surface area of 28,000 mu. The land is fertile and rich in resources. Tofu, ramie, river crab and freshwater fish are the specialties of Dawang. Tofu has a long history and is famous for its tender and smooth taste and high nutrition in southeastern Hubei. Jiangxiang calcite is the best of its kind, and its products are widely used. Chong Wang mineral water is praised as a "divine spring" by local people, and its detection index has reached the international drinking water standard. Projects such as Chen Baoshui Rust Stone, Chong Wang Marble, Changlin Duck and Caihu Piglet are being gradually developed and constructed.
