Tianjin Economic Development Zone

Approved by the State Council, People's Republic of China (PRC), TEDA was established on February 6th, 2004, and it is one of the first national development zones in China. "TEDA" is the abbreviation of the English name of Tianjin Economic and Technological Development Zone, and "TEDA" is its transliteration.

Tianjin Economic and Technological Development Zone is located 60 kilometers east of Tianjin, adjacent to Tanggu District. The total planned area is 33 square kilometers. In addition, Wuqing County, Xiqing District and Hangu District have built three communities outside the district: Yixian Science Industrial Park, Microelectronics Industrial Park and Chemical Industrial Park.
