Introduction to bee science

Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University and Yunnan Agricultural University offer bee science, which gives students another choice. The major of bee science mainly trains agricultural scientific and technological talents engaged in bee breeding, product development and pollination services, including bee science, bee product processing and trade. Students mainly study the basic theories and knowledge of bee production and management, bee genetics and breeding, bee disease prevention and control, bee product processing, bee product trade and so on, and receive basic training related to bee science such as experiment, design, investigation, analysis and evaluation. They are required to have beekeeping and bee products. Take Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University as an example, its bee college is divided into bee department, bee product department and bee therapy department.

Bee College of Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University was established in April, 20001. Its predecessor was the professional branch of beekeeping entrusted by the Ministry of Agriculture, which was established in 1960. At that time, the founder was Professor Gong Yifei. 198 1 established the first dean professor and the second dean professor Wang (1987). 1988 beekeeping system was changed to beekeeping system, and the first dean was Professor Wang, who served until1June 1996; Professor Chen, the second dean of the department, served until March 5438+0, 2006. Since the establishment of Bee College, the first president, Professor Chen, has served until April 2004. The second president, Professor Liang Qin, will serve until May 2007. Professor Xiaoqing Miao, the third president.

Since its establishment, the Institute has trained more than 1000 beekeepers at all levels. They are distributed in China provinces except Tibet and Taiwan Province Province, and some of them have gone abroad for further study or entrepreneurship. Most of them work in the departments of bee product marketing, beekeeping production management, teaching and scientific research, and many of them become leaders of relevant departments or academic leaders, which has played a positive role in promoting the development of bee industry in China.

Bee College of Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University has two major directions: bee science and bee products science, both of which are characteristic majors. At the same time, we will strive to establish a new professional direction of clinical rehabilitation medicine, and form a comprehensive structure and layout with apiology as the center, radiation product testing, food processing, bee pharmaceutical engineering, medicine and other disciplines. On the basis of strengthening the original professional foundation of bee science, broadening the professional caliber and improving students' comprehensive quality, we should strengthen the dominant professional direction, build the urgently needed professional direction and develop the comprehensive application-oriented new professional direction.

Yunnan Agricultural University is a bee science major.

According to the document No.7 [2005] issued by the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC), Notice of the Ministry of Education on Publishing the List of Colleges and Universities' Professions Recorded or Approved by the Ministry of Education in 2004, the bee major of Yunnan Agricultural University has been approved as an undergraduate major in colleges and universities, and students can be enrolled from 2005, with the professional code of 090503W and the study period of 4 years. The degree-granting category is agronomy. This is also the second university in China that has been approved to recruit undergraduates majoring in bee science. The Ministry of Education approved Yunnan Agricultural University to set up the undergraduate major of bee science.
