The advantages of double-sided shielded welding are mainly divided into two points:

1 is open arc welding, which is easy to realize all-round semi-automatic and automatic welding. Generally, bare welding wire is used, which has the advantages of concentrated arc heat, small heat affected zone, small welding deformation and small weld cracking tendency.

2. When welding, the welding wire is continuously and automatically fed, and at the same time, carbon dioxide gas is continuously sprayed to the welding place, so as to isolate the air, avoid the oxidation of molten iron, and achieve higher strength, which is higher than that of ordinary arc welding and better in quality. Therefore, the welding operation is convenient, the weld quality is high, and the comprehensive cost is only half of that of manual arc welding and submerged arc welding.
