Hohhot Railway No.1 Middle School is not bad, with a long history, many years of experience and advantages in secondary education, a group of experienced teachers, outstanding achievements in running schools, and good enrollment rate of students, which has trained many outstanding talents for the local area.

Hohhot Railway 1 Senior Middle School was founded by Hutie Bureau 1958, and in 2004 1 was placed under the management of Huimin District Government. It is one of the first batch of key middle schools in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the key middle school of Hohhot Railway Bureau and the model high school in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

Since 1958 was founded, Xu Xiqing, the first outstanding graduate of Shanghai Railway No.1 Middle School 1962 (the first session), was admitted to Peking University, and Zhang Yang, an outstanding graduate of the college entrance examination in Hohhot in 2000,
