Lotus Peak in Haimen Town, Shantou

Lianhuafeng Scenic Spot is located at the South China Sea border of Haimen Town, Chaoyang District, Shantou City, Guangdong Province, at the mouth of Lianjiang River, with an area of 1. 14 square kilometers. In the north of Wang Fu, there are ancient bunker remains in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Four ancient cannons in the eyes of the four cannons peep at the sea entering the harbor. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, they made contributions to the Jinghai and Japan's coastal defense, and they are still vivid. Since the Song Dynasty, when Wen Tianxiang climbed the peak to look at the emperor, many famous scholars and literati in the past dynasties left more than 100 famous calligraphy sentences with rich contents and different styles on the wall, forming a stone carving group on the cliff of Lotus Peak, which is regarded as an immortal stone history and listed as a provincial-level cultural relics protection unit. Modern famous artists such as Liu Haisu, Lao She, Zhao Puchu, Guan Shanyue and Qi Gong also added color and brilliance to the Lotus Peak. In recent years, we have also received more than 20 party and state leaders, including Yang, Qiao Shi, Song Ping, and Sapidin.

Lotus Peak is not only beautiful and colorful, but also rich in cultural connotation. There are ancient buildings in Ming and Qing Dynasties, such as Zhongxian Temple, Guan Hai Tower and Chongwen Pavilion. Memorial buildings such as "mass graves" and "Wengong Stone Statue". The "Zhongxian Temple" was built in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, and it was expanded into "Lianfeng Academy" by Qing Daoguang. There are many plaques in this temple, including two carved stones written by Wen Tianxiang, which make visitors linger. As for another provincial cultural relic, the "Mass Pit" is the historical evidence that the Japanese army killed fishermen during the Anti-Japanese War, and it is now a cemetery-style patriotic education base.
