Does Sun Yat-sen University have a media department?

The School of Communication and Design of Sun Yat-sen University includes three departments: new media and film production department, journalism and communication department and public communication department.

1. Journalism major is based on the rich humanistic tradition of Sun Yat-sen University, with solid basic knowledge and broad humanistic vision. The trend of communication and the need of public media system reform, cultivate all-round development of morality, intelligence, physique and beauty, cultivate management elites for government departments and non-government public institutions with modern, scientific and professional requirements in the media field under the new situation, cultivate scientific research reserve forces for the development of media technology, and cultivate various public institutions such as radio and television, film and television, news, publishing, information service and network communication. This major includes digital media management, visual communication and control, and public media operation and management.
