Introduction of Chaozhou Bridge?

Chaozhou Bridge is the fourth bridge to be built after Guangji Bridge, Hanjiang Bridge and Jinshan Bridge. Construction started on June 29th, 20 13. Located in Xiangqiao District, Guangdong Province, it starts from Linxi Town in the east and reaches Chaozhou Avenue in the west, connecting Chaozhou Avenue and Hanjiang East. The prestressed concrete cable-stayed bridge with single tower and double-sided stay cables is adopted, and the middle elevated turntable interchange connects Shazhou Island, directly crossing Nandi Road to Chaozhou Avenue. Part of Nandi Road is diverted from the elevated overpass to the south intersection of Nandi Road in Feng Chun, and it is progressing smoothly at present. It is expected to open to traffic before the end of 20 16, which will add beautiful scenery along the river to Chaozhou.

The total length of the design starting and ending points of the main line is about 3,000m, of which the total length of the bridge is 2,420m, the height of the main tower is 108m, there are 88 stay cables in the whole bridge, the bridge deck is 30.5m wide (including sidewalks), there are 6 lanes in both directions, and the approach length on the east and west banks is 580m m. The design speed of the main line is 60 km/h.

The purpose of the construction is to lay a solid foundation for improving the traffic conditions on both sides of the Hanjiang River and promoting Chaozhou's strategy of "expanding the city eastward"; Rebuilding the new urban area on the east bank of the Han River and creating a new urban development pattern of "one river and two banks" is also an urgent need to alleviate the traffic pressure of the Han River Bridge and the urban area and improve the urban traffic environment.

Chaozhou Bridge is located between Hanjiang Bridge and Hanjiang Chaozhou Water Supply Hub (measured along the coastline on the west bank of Hanjiang River, it is about 2.30km downstream of Hanjiang Bridge and about 780m away from Chaozhou Water Supply Hub). It is located on the central axis of Chaozhou urban planning and is an extension of Chaozhou Avenue. It starts at the intersection of Chaozhou Avenue and Nanjiao Road and crosses Nandi Road, Nandi, Hanjiang Xixi, Zhouxian Island, Hanjiang Dongxi, Dongxiang Dike and Zhouxian Island to the south.
