Xianghe County Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine was established in 1950s, and its predecessor was Chengguan Town Hospital. 1987 was transformed into Xianghe county traditional Chinese medicine hospital with the approval of the provincial health department. The hospital covers an area of 15 mu, and the infrastructure was completed in May 2002, with a construction area of 6,000 square meters. The main building has 6 floors, equipped with elevator, 100 beds, advanced ward bathroom, air conditioning and color TV. There are 300 beds, of which the bed utilization rate reaches 95%. In 2007, the economic benefit increased by 50% compared with that in 2006, ranking first among Chinese medicine hospitals at the same level in the city. In 2000, a three-story medical technology building and a six-story inpatient building were put into use one after another.
