Responsible for promoting the balanced development of compulsory education and promoting educational equity, and macroscopically guiding and coordinating the work of compulsory education in the city. Comprehensive management of the city's general high school education, preschool education and special education.

Responsible for reviewing the establishment, adjustment, renaming and cancellation of ordinary high schools (including private schools). Formulate basic requirements and teaching documents for basic education, organize the examination and approval of school-based curriculum materials for basic education, and fully implement quality education.

Institutional settings:

1. Office (Office of International Cooperation and Exchange):

Mainly responsible for the daily operation of messages, meetings, confidential, file management and other organs, as well as comprehensive coordination, government affairs disclosure, e-government, information, letters and visits, confidentiality and other work.

Responsible for the efficiency construction of the bureau, the handling of suggestions made by NPC deputies and CPPCC members, the organization and arrangement of important meetings of the bureau and the supervision and implementation of agreed matters; To undertake the logistics management of the bureau and cooperate with the financial affairs of the administration.

2. Organize the Propaganda Department:

Mainly responsible for the daily work of the Municipal Education Commission; To guide the party building, ideological and political education, ideological and spiritual civilization construction and United front work in the education system; Guide school moral education and campus culture construction, and guide school mental health education and family education.

3. Personnel Department (Education and Personnel Department):

Mainly responsible for the organization setting, talent recruitment, personnel deployment, salary and welfare, post setting management, talent exchange, personnel file management, etc. of the bureaus and institutions directly under them; Overall management and guidance of the education system evaluation, recognition and reward work.
