Xushuguan town, which belongs to huqiu district, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, is located in the north of huqiu district, bordering Huangqiao Street in Xiangcheng District and Baiyangwan Street in Jinchang District in the east, Qiao Feng Street in the south, Tongan and Dongzhu Town in the west, and Wang Ting and Huangdai Town in Xiangcheng District in the north. The upper Paleozoic Devonian, Carboniferous, Mesozoic and Middle-Lower Triassic strata in xushuguan town are well developed. The northeastern part of Yangshan, Hushuguan, Huqiu, Caocao, Hu Cheng and other places in the town were volcanic rocks formed under the Quaternary soil layer at that time.

Later, with the crust rising and the overlying weathering and denudation, underground granite exposed or close to the surface, becoming a grotesque granite landform. The animal model of Guanshan Mountain is a very typical granite rugged hill (that is, the "Guanshan Cliff Stone Carving" peak).

History and culture:

According to legend, Qin Shihuang's southern tour "asked Wu to send He Lv's tomb" saw the white tiger crouching on the mountain (that is, the tiger hill) and heading west for more than 20 miles, but there was no white tiger, that is, the place where the white tiger disappeared, which was called "tiger crab". Tang taboo tiger, changed to "Hu Hu"; Qian Liu, king of wuyue in the Five Dynasties, was jealous of Lot, so he changed his name to Hushu. In the fourth year of Xuande in Ming Dynasty (1429), the household department set up banknotes here, hence the name.

Yangshan, located in the west of xushuguan town, was called "Wuzhong Putuo" in ancient times. Arrowhead Peak, which is 338 meters above sea level, stands on the Jiangnan Plain with strange peaks and rocks. Fairy Cave and Laihe Peak in the east of Yangshan Mountain have different shapes.

Wenchang Pavilion next to Zhennan Canal was built in the Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty. It used to be the command post and grain camp of Li Xiucheng, a loyal soldier of Taiping Army, guarding the northwest gate of Suzhou. It, Sanli Pavilion, Xingxian Bridge and other historical sites are listed as tourist attractions of the ancient canal by China International Tourism Head Office.
