Medical technology of Leshan People’s Hospital

Medical Laboratory Department: The Laboratory Department has 28 technical staff, distributed in the laboratory department of the hospital headquarters and the laboratory of the Municipal Emergency Center (a branch of our hospital). There are 6 deputy senior inspectors, 6 chief inspectors and 10 inspectors. The department has four groups: biochemistry, bacteria (immunity), clinical examination (including blood transfusion department), and branch. There are five group leaders responsible for the daily work, instrument maintenance and indoor quality control of each group. It has various advanced equipment required for clinical testing, such as a Hitachi 7180 fully automatic biochemical analyzer, an American Abbott five-class and a three-class automatic blood cell analyzer, an Italian Alice enzyme immunoassay analyzer, etc.

Functional Examination Department: The Functional Examination Department of Leshan People's Hospital was established in the 1970s and consists of ECG, A and B ultrasound, EEG, and gastroscopy rooms. It currently has ECG, EEG, and endoscopy laboratory majors (the ultrasound major was established as an independent department in 2007), eight types of examination subjects, and 25 technical projects. There are 1 chief physician (specialized in cardiology and electroencephalography), 1 deputy chief physician (specialized in digestive endoscopy), 8 physicians, 2 nurses in charge, 1 nurse, and 13 nurses.

Pathology Department: The Pathology Department of Shanshi People's Hospital was established in 1964 and has a history of more than 40 years. There is one deputy chief physician, two chief physicians, and two pathologists. It has advanced equipment such as pathological image analyzer, Leica 2135 microtome, Leica CM1900 cryostat, embedding machine, Leica ASP300 fully automatic vacuum dehydrator, Leica 1000 microscope, OLYMPUS BX40 microscope and other advanced equipment.
