Xingtu, Tiggo-8 and Gateway X series have also been replaced by Chery's most rigid 1.6T jet engine, with maximum power 197 horsepower and torque of 290 Nm, which is remarkable. The gearbox also has 8AT, DCT dry dual clutch and so on. Not that you can't sell engines and gearboxes. Anyone who buys the core parts of Chery is equivalent to advertising Chery in disguise. After all, the three parts of the car are the core parts of the car. Then the car of this brand will have no product competitiveness, and people who buy a car will tend to Chery brand. Isn't this pushing yourself into a fire pit? Therefore, many car companies would rather use the old Mitsubishi 1.5T engine and imported gearbox than purchase Chery parts! However, if these enterprises do not rely solely on procurement for independent research and development, the cost will also become a big problem. After all, the reduction in profits will affect the prospects of car-making enterprises! Therefore, if you want to do it for a long time, you still have to work hard on three major items, and independent research and development is the last word.

Mature technology means lower cost.

Chery's 1.5T engine has been equipped for many years, and it has even been touted by many people as the originator of ten thousand years. It is precisely because of years of loading performance that Chery dares to guarantee one million kilometers, but without the assistance of more advanced technology, many people question why Chery does not sell related engine parts to achieve profitability. Is it because Chery doesn't want to sell itself or is there another reason?

Chery is willing to sell engines.

Chery 20 17, an engine factory in Jiaozuo, Henan Province, recently announced that the engines produced by this factory are exported to the United States, and the small-displacement ACTECO series engines are exported to American agricultural vehicles, which has been recognized by the market because of its low price and high stability. Moreover, some independent brands have discussed engine supply with Chery before.

Motivation matching is a problem.

Each car company has different recognition of technology and different gearbox choices. At present, Chery's engine mainly matches CVT, dual clutch and MT gearbox. Chery, a widely used AT gearbox in the market, has no matching technology, which is extremely limited for some car companies, and there is obvious deviation in the cognition of choosing dual-clutch gearbox. Only purchasing Chery engine can't solve the problem of powertrain. Car companies also need related gearboxes and supporting facilities. This link is not small.

Domestic cars don't lack gearboxes.

Market polarization is more obvious. Mainstream car companies don't need Chery engines. Great Wall, SAIC, Geely, GAC, BYD and other companies have accumulated a lot of engine technology, and they don't need to rely on Chery engines at all, so they can't talk about purchasing. Another part of car companies suffered a cold snap this year, and second-rate car companies faced a crisis of transformation. Their sales are not as good as expected, and they need to solve their survival problems in do or die. At present, new energy sources are frequently opened in the market, so it is a good idea to choose new energy sources.

There are many good products, but not every good product has opportunities for external sales. Take the engine as an example. While selling engines, it is also important to have a set of perfect supporting technologies in the market to solve the urgent needs of car companies. Why doesn't Mitsubishi engine fall down? Because it can provide a better gearbox adaptation scheme while selling the engine, since they are all purchased and have strong stability, it is better to choose another one.
