Passat, which was listed in 2000, has always maintained the benchmark position in the domestic mid-to high-end car market with its excellent product strength, German craftsmanship and strong brand appeal. Up to now, the cumulative sales volume has exceeded 2.8 million vehicles, of which more than 60% Passat models were born in SAIC- Volkswagen Nanjing factory.

Established in 2008, SAIC Volkswagen Nanjing Branch is the fourth vehicle production base of SAIC Volkswagen and the first factory outside Shanghai.

The automatic stamping line of Nanjing Factory is the first high-speed automatic stamping production line of Volkswagen Group and China. It consists of 1 2 100T and 5 1200T presses, 7 cross-bar manipulators, 4 KUKA robots and a high-speed destacking system. The maximum punching times of this line are as high as 15 times per minute, and the actual maximum number of parts that can be produced per minute.

At the same time, the advanced automatic mold changing system is adopted here, which improves the efficiency by 3-5 times, and it only takes 10 minutes to complete the replacement of two sets of molds.

Nanjing factory paint workshop:

The paint workshop of Nanjing factory adopts new environmental protection paint technology, and adopts a large number of frequency conversion control technology, bus control technology and robot automatic gluing and painting technology, with a total of 128 robots to ensure paint quality to the greatest extent.

The new environmental protection paint technology includes cathodic electrophoresis technology, PVC protection under the vehicle, wax injection in the cavity, etc., which can ensure that Passat reaches 12 with bright colors, environmental protection and energy saving in addition to corrosion protection.
