Chapter I General Provisions Article 1 In order to inherit and carry forward Mongolian medicine and traditional Chinese medicine, promote their all-round development and improve citizens' health, these regulations are formulated in accordance with relevant state laws and regulations and in light of the actual situation of the autonomous region. Article 5 The development of Mongolian and Chinese medicine should follow the principle of paying equal attention to Mongolian and Chinese, and adhere to the principles of protection, support and development. Sixth people's governments at or above the county level shall commend and reward the units and individuals that have made outstanding contributions to the development of Mongolian medicine and traditional Chinese medicine. Article 7 Departments of health, education, culture, science and technology, radio and television, press and publication, Mongolian medicine and Chinese medicine institutions, trade associations, societies and other organizations shall publicize Mongolian medicine and Chinese medicine through various channels to expand their influence at home and abroad.

Twelfth people's governments at or above the county level shall establish a compensation mechanism for public Mongolian medical institutions and formulate compensation measures for special medical services in public Mongolian medical institutions. Thirteenth non-profit medical institutions of Mongolian medicine and traditional Chinese medicine enjoy preferential policies such as financial subsidies, tax reduction and exemption, and capital construction related expenses in accordance with the relevant provisions of the state and the autonomous region. The relevant departments and units shall, when determining the designated medical institutions, emergency centers and emergency stations such as commercial insurance, accident handling, public health emergencies, physical examination, disability and retirement appraisal, treat them equally according to the basic requirements of technical equipment. Article 17 The medical institutions of Mongolian traditional Chinese medicine that meet the requirements of diagnosis and treatment items, Chinese patent medicines, Mongolian medicine hospital preparations, Mongolian medicine pieces and other services shall be included in the payment scope of the local urban basic medical insurance and the new rural and pastoral cooperative medical fund. When determining the catalogue and categories of basic drugs and basic medical insurance drugs, Mongolian drugs are tilted. Chapter III Medical Institutions and Practitioners of Mongolian Traditional Chinese Medicine Article 19 The people's governments at or above the county level shall incorporate the medical institutions of Mongolian traditional Chinese medicine into the regional health development plan, and establish and improve the medical service system of Mongolian traditional Chinese medicine according to the national and autonomous regional standards for the establishment of medical institutions of Mongolian traditional Chinese medicine in accordance with the following provisions:

(a) administrative regions at or above the county level shall set up Mongolian medicine and Chinese medicine medical institutions of corresponding scale;
