Why do people say that doctors are hard and tired, but there are still so many people applying for medical school every year, and the scores are still so high?

First of all, studying medicine is really a difficult road.

Judging from the college entrance examination, the admission scores of two general medical colleges generally exceed one, and the score of one medical college is higher. As for domestic famous schools such as Concord and Huaxi, the admission scores are higher.

After trying to get into medical school, what awaits you will be more bitter study than three years of review in high school. The undergraduate education system is four years. Because medical students need to learn too much knowledge, general clinical medicine and stomatology are five years. In five years, we should intensively read more than 30 courses, including thousands of pages of textbooks such as internal medicine, surgery and diagnostics. As a medical student, we should master all the contents in books, and the exam has no focus, because patients are never attentive when they are sick.

There are many profitable majors in college, but medical students have been paying for nothing. The general school will arrange an internship in the hospital in the last year. During the internship, there is no salary, no income, no living expenses, and even no internship expenses.

At present, the employment situation of doctors is grim, and they can hardly find their favorite jobs after graduation, so they can only go to township hospitals or other medical and health units. If you want to stay in a tertiary hospital or a slightly larger hospital, you must have a master's degree or above. Therefore, for most medical students, postgraduate entrance examination is the only way.

The difficulty of the postgraduate entrance examination is comparable to that of the college entrance examination. After being admitted, it is three years of study. Many medical students study through clinical experience during the day and study at night to ensure graduation. There is almost no income during this period, and some schools have better policies and will have meager living allowances.

At present, many large 3A hospitals require doctors, so many students will continue to study PhD. By the time they graduate, they are basically around 30 years old, some even have no partners, some are married and have children, but their meager income makes them unable to support their families.

People always think that doctors are high-paying industries, and senior doctors may have some extra income such as lectures and scientific research. However, the income of young doctors is also very ordinary. Plus, they are in their thirties, have mortgages and car loans, and have to raise children. This is the time to spend.

After work, doctors work even harder, with endless night shifts and endless operations. Basically, most doctors are overworked, and many doctors are in a sub-health state. Throughout the year, I always have to worry about the hospital. When others go out to play on holiday, the doctor must also be on duty. Every day, every year, until retirement.

But why do so many people compete to become doctors? Doctors are one of the few professions that can eat by themselves. For rural students, there are many people who study medicine to change their destiny. This is much fairer to the doctor industry. As long as you have the ability, even if you come from a poor family, a grassroots family or a peasant family, it is possible to gain a future through your own efforts.

Secondly, although the income of doctors is not particularly high, it still belongs to the middle and high level compared with other industries. Take the first-tier cities in non-Beishangguang as an example, the income of ordinary young doctors can be maintained at 1 10,000 or above, but the income of employees in other industries with the same qualifications is basically around 5,000 to 8,000.

Another particularly important reason is that doctors are a particularly stable job. Many industries will face unemployment, but doctors will not. Everyone has birth and death, and doctors will never lose their jobs. As long as you have a skill, you won't lose your job anywhere. AI can replace many things, but it can't replace doctors.

Therefore, even if the medical school is not easy to take the exam and the road to study medicine is very hard, there are still many people scrambling to choose the road to study medicine.
