What does EIN mean?
Ein (employee identification number) is an employee identification number, also known as the federal tax number.
Applicable to the United States. Generally speaking, most enterprises or entities need EIN as the identification number of the IRS so that they can handle tax-related matters. Most enterprises in the United States need to obtain EIN when registering and/or starting to recruit employees. When this number is used for identification rather than employment tax declaration, it is usually called taxpayer identification number (TIN), and when it is used for employment tax declaration, it is usually called EIN.
