The former site of Yan 'an Central Hospital is a cultural relic protection unit in Shaanxi Province.

The former site of Yan 'an Central Hospital is located on the west side of Lijiawa Village Ditch in Hezhuangping Town, Baota District, Yan 'an City. There is a stone gate in the old site, with holes in caves 10 and hundreds of holes in earth caves.

Central Hospital was founded by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in Yan 'an on April 1939, and was led by the Central Ministry of Health. When it was first built, there were only 12 nurses. Later, it gradually expanded and the number of hospital nurses grew to more than 100. Fu Lian, director of the central health department, is also the president and Shi is the vice president. The post-deans are He Mu and Wei. There are departments of internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, ent, pediatrics and infectious diseases, as well as operating room, laboratory, delivery room and x-ray room, with 0/80 beds. Mao Zedong attaches great importance to the development of central hospitals. He sent several comrades from the General Office of the Central Committee and the Organization Department of the Central Committee to the hospital to expand, instructing the Central Party School, Lu Yi, Kangda, Yanda and young party member from the Academy of Natural Sciences to go to the hospital as nurses, but never selected some comrades with good skills from Yan 'an medical staff to be doctors. In 194 1 and 1942, Mao Zedong wrote two inscriptions for the work of nurses: "The work of nurses is of great political significance" and "Respect and care for nurses".

The central hospital was originally a central government hospital, but it has always been oriented to the masses. The hospital also often organizes medical teams to go to the countryside for home treatment, which is well received by the masses. 1939 to 1945, with a total of 12677 patients admitted to the central hospital.

When Hu Zongnan troops invaded Yan 'an, the Central Hospital and the Central Ministry of Health merged to form a medical team and left Yan 'an with the Central Committee. After arriving in Beijing, it became the Beijing Hospital now.

1995, Yan' an Cultural Relics Management Committee erected a symbolic monument here.
