Over the years since its establishment, the Department of Foreign Languages of Economics and Trade has formed the characteristics of abundant teachers, rigorous scholarship and complete languages. organizational structure: Fang Yujing, head of the department, is in charge of overall work, and Liu Yuling, deputy director of the department, is responsible for teaching. There are basic English teaching and research section, specialized English teaching and research section, English listening and speaking teaching and research section, eastern language teaching and research section, western language teaching and research section and software technology outsourcing teaching and research section. The department office is responsible for the daily administration of the department. teaching staff: the department has a strong faculty, with more than 5 faculty members and more than 4 full-time teachers, all of whom graduated from famous universities at home and abroad. More than half of them have senior professional titles, and there are many returned teachers from Britain, the United States, Japan, Germany and France. At the same time, many foreign teachers from Britain, Japan, Denmark, Canada, France and Germany were invited to teach.

major setting: there are six majors: business English (foreign tourism and international trade), applied Japanese, applied German, applied French, applied Korean and software technology (software outsourcing in Europe and America). All majors develop together and promote each other, forming a professional group with business foreign language characteristics and serving the international business industry.

characteristic inheritance: all majors closely focus on the concept of "service-oriented, employment-oriented" higher vocational education, take the cultivation and formation of professional core competence of all majors as the main line, pay attention to the education process, face the market employment, and comprehensively improve students' post ability and comprehensive quality. After years of construction, our department has more than 2 off-campus training bases. All majors pay attention to the cultivation of students' professional ethics and professional ability in teaching, so that students' practical ability is continuously improved, their social competitiveness is enhanced, and the employment rate is increased year by year. The employment rate of students in various majors is still above 95%.

The Department has one national-level excellent course and one Tianjin-level excellent course. The trained students have won the special prize, the second prize and the third prize of the English major group in the National Practical Oral English Competition for Higher Vocational Colleges, and the first prize of the National Documentary Skills Competition for Higher Vocational Colleges. Over the years, the pass rate of students in our department has reached about 97% in Grade A and 8% in Grade 4 in Great Britain.
