The difference between dry hanging and hanging stones.

The difference between dry hanging stone and hanging paste, dry hanging stone is a construction technology of building exterior wall and a new construction technology in wall decoration at present. In this paper, the difference between dry hanging and hanging and pasting of stone materials will be discussed in depth to help readers better understand the characteristics of the two construction technologies.

Different construction methods

Hanging slate is directly pasted on the slate surface with cement mortar, and dry hanging slate is slotted on the slate surface with iron pendant, marble glue, dry hanging AB glue and various structural adhesives, and then the construction is completed.

Different costs and thicknesses

The cost of dry hanging is higher than that of hanging paste, and the thickness of dry hanging stone is thicker than that of wet paste. If the specifications of the stone are relatively large and the wall height exceeds 2M, it is suitable for dry hanging. Slurry hanging is not easy to operate, grouting is not easy to compact, and it is easy to fall off, which is risky.

Different visual effects

Dry hanging method is better than hanging and pasting in smoothness and texture of stone surface. Indoor stone plastering is easy to regain moisture, leading to abnormal color on the surface, and indoor stone plastering is easy to return to alkali.

Different scope of application

Dry hanging stone is suitable for buildings with wall height over 2M, while hanging slate is suitable for buildings with lower wall height.

Different structural principles

Dry hanging stone is to hang decorative stone materials such as granite and artificial marble directly on the outer surface of building structure with corrosion-resistant bolts and corrosion-resistant flexible connectors, and there is a cavity of 40 ~ 50 mm between stone materials and structure. Under the action of wind and earthquake force, the veneer made by this technology is allowed to produce appropriate displacement to absorb part of the wind and earthquake force without cracking and falling off. When the wind-induced earthquake force disappears, the stone will also reset with the structure.
