The Origin of Sanba District in Chaling

The origin of Chaling March 8th District is to establish an economic development experimental area called Chaling March 8th Agricultural Area. According to relevant public information, the origin of Chaling Sanba District began at 1962. At that time, in order to promote local agricultural development, an economic development experimental area named Chaling Sanba Agricultural Area was established. The experimental area includes three towns and eight villages in Chaling County, hence the name Chaling Sanba District. This area is rich in water resources and forest resources, and is an important local agricultural and forestry development base. After more than 50 years of development, this area has become one of the largest agricultural economic development zones in China and Hunan.
