Brief introduction of Tianzishan cableway in Zhangjiajie, Hunan Province

Hunan Wulingyuan Cableway Co., Ltd. was established on February 7, 1995, and is a wholly foreign-owned enterprise invested by Hong Kong Anda International Co., Ltd. ... Tianzishan Cableway started construction on 1996, and officially put into operation in May, 1997. Tianzishan ropeway is a single-line circulating passenger ropeway with rope releasing device, and all the equipment is imported from Austrian Doppelmayr Company. The cableway is 2084 meters long with a height difference of 692 meters. It is equipped with 38 closed sightseeing gondolas, which can carry 960 passengers per hour in one direction, and the fastest running time in one direction is 6 minutes and 26 seconds.

The completion and opening of the Tian Zi cableway has greatly improved the tourist traffic environment in Wulingyuan Scenic Area, making it a pity that tourists spend half a day on Tian Zi Mountain just to see it quickly, and it has become an intermittent flight to the top of the mountain to enjoy the charming scenery of "expanding bonsai and narrowing fairyland". It is comfortable and safe to take the Tianzishan cableway, with amazing scenery, strange pines and rocks, vast green forests, faint springs and playful macaques.
