The largest logging company in China is Great Wall Drilling Logging Company, with the number of equipment, team and output value second to none in China.

Undergraduate students majoring in logging, as far as the current industry is concerned, are generally assigned to Great Wall Drilling Logging Company. After three trainings (that is, pre-job training or factory training), most of them will be assigned to logging teams, and the career path is generally wellhead internship-operation engineer-squad leader-deputy department head-department head. The other part will be assigned to do auxiliary work, that is, logging instrument maintenance, logging interpretation (that is, logging data acceptance) and so on. A small number will enter logging companies to do personnel work, league branch work and so on.

For undergraduate students majoring in logging, if they sign contracts with eight branches of China Petroleum Engineering Technology Service (i.e. PetroChina Logging, No.5 Drilling, Geophysical Exploration and Pipeline) or oil and gas logging companies of cosl and Sinopec, their basic career paths are mostly as mentioned above.

Those who sign up for oil and gas field enterprises may have a better career path.
