Brief introduction of Maoshan landform

Complex geological structure and long-term external erosion have caused a series of anticlines, synclines and flying mountains in Maoshan area, which are fragmented and have different trends. Part of the low mountains are cut into "V"-shaped valleys, and the two-pole denudation surface 150-200m, 200-250m or 300m. Except for a few isolated hills with steep walls, most of the mountains have gentle slopes, with an inclination angle of 10-20, making them a transitional zone between rivers and lakes.

Both sides of the mountain descend along the slope, eroded and cut for a long time, and the runoff is dispersed, forming a series of ridges and depressions, showing claw-shaped landforms. For example, there are several ganggou gullies in Maoshan Town, and surface water is uniformly injected into Maoshan Reservoir, forming a small "claw" shape. The surface water of Maoshan Mountain in Jurong is injected into Chishan Lake through Nanhe River, Zhonghe River and Beihe River respectively, showing a big claw shape.
