In July this year, AutoX officially released the fifth-generation driverless system AutoX Gen5, which is equipped with the world’s highest-definition automotive-grade sensors, self-developed core computing platform AutoX XCU and autonomous driving domain electronic and electrical architecture. With 2200 TOPS, it achieves full-stack architectural redundancy with car-level functional safety, ensuring truly fully autonomous driving capabilities.
This super factory was built for the mass production of AutoX's fifth-generation RoboTaxi - AutoX has in-depth integration cooperation with the international car giant Chrysler FCA. The first step for parts to enter the warehouse is to pass strict quality inspection. Then, the parts that pass the quality inspection go to the upper assembly line for partial integration: the dual-main multi-sensor fusion system of the fifth-generation system, the blind zone multi-sensor fusion system, etc. are all completed on the upper assembly line.
The final assembly line consists of a large-scale semi-automatic skateboard transmission line and a hoisting conveyor line. It is specially customized for the fully unmanned RoboTaxi assembly process. It uses ABB 7-axis robots that are industry-leading. Siemens, Omron, Schneider, Philips, International giants such as Mitsubishi and SEW provide electronic control systems and transmission systems to standardize and digitize the core technology of fully unmanned RoboTaxi.
Each RoboTaxi is produced on a standardized production line and enters the final PDI pre-factory inspection. The Gen5 driverless system has been "lit up", and the staff controls all the software of the Gen5 system from the in-car operation interface. Hardware modules undergo quality inspection.
A Gen5 RoboTaxi comes off the production line and immediately goes to the self-built automatic multi-sensor calibration turntable, four-wheel alignment and other calibration equipment in the workshop, and completes the constant temperature room, spray room, etc. in the factory With vehicle-level testing, the vehicle can enter driverless status before leaving the factory.
