On August 2 1, with the 5500 1 detection train leaving Weifang North Station, it marked the official start of the joint commissioning test of Weifang-Laixi high-speed railway.

Weifang-Laixi High-speed Railway starts from Weifang North Station of Qing Ji High-speed Railway, passes through Changyi City, pingdu city City and Laixi City, and connects with Laixi North Station of Qingrong Intercity. Total length of the line 125.4 km. Weifang North, Changyi, Pingdu and Laixi North are four stations, of which Changyi and Pingdu are new stations. The design speed of this line is 350 kilometers per hour. Construction started on 20 17 and 12, and it is planned to be put into operation by the end of 2020.

According to the person in charge of the relevant departments of China Railway Jinan Bureau Group Co., Ltd., the joint commissioning test of Weifang-Laixi high-speed railway took about 2 months and was carried out in two stages. The first stage is the step-by-step speed-up test stage, and the second stage is the signal system test stage. In the first stage, the inspection train and the comprehensive inspection EMU collect and analyze data such as lines and catenary through "turn-back running", and finally complete the step-by-step speed-up test, and the line will reach a speed of 385 kilometers per hour.

In the second stage, the function test and compatibility test of signal and train control system will be carried out, and the performance of traction power supply, catenary, communication, signal, customer service, natural disasters and foreign body intrusion monitoring system will be evaluated and verified, so as to realize further debugging and optimization of each subsystem and overall system of Weilai high-speed railway, finally meet the line design requirements and provide technical support for opening operation.

Weilai high-speed railway is an important part of the "three horizontals and five verticals" high-speed railway network in Shandong Province, and it is a convenient high-speed railway passage connecting Qing Ji high-speed railway and Qingrong Intercity. After the high-speed railway is completed and opened to traffic, the train from Jinan to Wei Yan can directly enter Qingrong Intercity through Weilai high-speed railway, without bypassing Jiaozhou North Station and Jimo North Station, and the travel time between Jinan and Yantai and Weihai will be greatly shortened. This is of great significance to promoting the regional economic and social development of Jiaodong Peninsula and facilitating people's travel along the route.

After the project is completed, the time from Yantai and Weihai to Jinan will be shortened to two hours, which is in line with the requirement of "two-hour circle" between Jinan and the provincial capital city in the planning of Shandong express railway network. By then, it will only take about 17 minutes for Pingdu to take the high-speed train to Weifang, and about 50 minutes for Jinan.
