Zhengzhou Surveying and Mapping School is the only vocational school of surveying and mapping geographic information in China. 1978 was founded by the state bureau of surveying and mapping, and 1987 was designated as a national key middle school by the state education commission and as a deputy department-level unit. In 2000, it was named as a national key middle school by the Ministry of Education, and was placed under the management of the Provincial Department of Education in the same year.
