Dalian Campus of Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts was established with the approval of Liaoning Provincial People's Government, and its management mode is the same as that of Shenyang Campus, both of which are public. In 2007, the first batch of undergraduate students enrolled in art design 1, 150, and in 2008, the second batch enrolled undergraduate students 1 003. Since 2008, the college has decided to organize professional examinations on campus, and plans to recruit 1000 undergraduates majoring in art design and animation every year. The campus is 50 kilometers away from the center of Dalian, and the light rail can go directly to the campus (Jinshitan Station) from the front of the railway station. The discipline setting and teaching staff of Dalian Campus are based on Liaoning Provincial Discipline Group and the Department of Visual Communication Design, a key discipline of Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts, and Shenyang Campus no longer recruits related majors. Freshmen in Dalian campus are admitted regardless of major. They will study in the basic teaching department for one year, enter the relevant studios to complete the credit courses stipulated by the campus in the second year, and enter the professional studios through two-way selection according to the students' wishes and academic performance in the third year. Senior students will have the opportunity to choose studios set up in other places (such as Shenyang Campus, Dalian and other cities, countries or regions) according to their professional development, their own conditions and social practice needs.
