Yanjiao and Sanhe are the same thing?

This is not the same thing. Yanjiao Town is administratively under the jurisdiction of sanhe city.

Sanhe city is located at 39 48' to 40 05' north latitude and116 45' to 1 17 15' east longitude. It borders Jizhou District of Tianjin in the east, Pinggu District of Beijing in the north, Shunyi District of Beijing in the northwest, Tongzhou District of Beijing across the Chaobai River in the west, Dachang Hui Autonomous County in the southwest, Xianghe County in the south and Baodi District of Tianjin in the southeast.

Yanjiao Town, which belongs to the western urban area of sanhe city, Hebei Province, is adjacent to Gaolou Town of sanhe city in the north, 25 kilometers away from Fuyang Town of sanhe city, where the municipal government is located, and 30 kilometers away from Beijing. In the west, it faces Lucheng Town, Xiji Town and songzhuang town in Tongzhou District of Beijing across the Chaobai River.

The Historical Evolution of sanhe city

In the Republic of China, Shuntianfu was changed to Jingzhao, directly under the central government, and Sanhe belonged to Jingzhao area. 1928, moved the capital to Nanjing, and Zhili was renamed Hebei Province.
