The scale of Guangdong National Defense Science and Technology Technician College

At present, the school covers an area of 96,424 square meters, with a building area of 5,5581square meter, including a teaching area of 25,330 square meters. Equipped with laboratories, training rooms and workshops that can meet the needs of mechanical engineering, automation, industrial and commercial management and information management. The school is equipped with ABB robots, Frank robots, Furniss welding machines, five-axis machining centers, WEDM machines for wire cutting, three-axis mirror EDM machines, turning centers, rapid prototyping machines and graphic workstations, totaling more than 3,000 sets. There are robot basic operation training room, robot welding training room, industrial automation training room, ERP manual/electronic sand table laboratory, logistics training room and so on. The equipment in the fields of numerical control, mould and automation is exemplary.

Professional and training level

The college enrolls middle school (five-year program) classes and high-tech classes, and trains students with junior, high school and above academic qualifications. At present, there are more than 4500 students. The college has more than 20 majors, including CNC machining, automobile maintenance, electrical automation equipment installation and maintenance, industrial robot application and maintenance, computer application technology and maintenance, modern logistics and animation design. The college also has a vocational skill appraisal institute, which has trained junior, middle and senior workers and technicians of various professions for the society for many years. It is a provincial training base for high-skilled talents, a vocational research and application base for industrial robot welding technology in Guangdong Province, and a public training base for high-skilled talents. It is also a designated unit for special operations training and a computer high-tech examination station.

In the long-term practice of running a school, they have accumulated rich teaching experience, have higher professional standards and achieved excellent results in teaching, scientific research and skill competitions. Two of them won the title of "National Technical Expert", six won the "May 1st Labor Medal" in Guangdong Province, three won the title of "Southern Guangdong Teaching Rookie", seven won the title of "Technical Expert" in Guangdong Province, with 6544 people.
