Meng Xiaojun’s role experience

"Turtle" Meng Xiaojun comes from an elite family and is already a third-generation "turtle". His grandfather and father are both Ph.D. students studying in the United States. They both gave Meng Xiaojun English dictionaries one after another. Both generations are building "New China" .

In 1980, Meng Xiaojun was admitted to Yenching University and met Cheng Dongqing and Wang Yang, and the three became friends.

Meng Xiaojun’s college years were very brilliant. His intelligence and advanced thinking made him stand out in school. Cheng Dongqing even worshiped Meng Xiaojun as an idol. Meng Xiaojun has been studying abroad since his grandfather's generation, so Meng Xiaojun has had the American dream since he was a child.

But when he successfully applied for a visa and arrived in the United States, ambitious and ready to start a career, reality suddenly crushed his dream: he fed mice in a laboratory and had to go to a restaurant after being fired. Work as a handyman washing dishes. After going through a lot of hardships to get to the United States, he lived a miserable life. After struggling to hold on, he decided to return to China when he discovered that his wife Liangqin was working secretly and his self-esteem was frustrated.

After Meng Xiaojun returned to China, he was invited by Cheng Dongqing and Wang Yang to give a speech to the students of New Dream. Meng Xiaojun suffered from "speech phobia" due to the frustration of his self-esteem in the United States. When facing the students in the audience, he could not say a word. Since then, Meng Xiaojun has started one-on-one mock visa tutoring and study abroad consultation, which has been well received by students.

When the "New Dream" English training class was growing, Meng Xiaojun, one of the founders, proposed the idea of ??going public, but was rejected by the conservative Cheng Dongqing.

Due to the hidden danger that some of the teaching topics of "New Dream" were not authorized by ETS, Meng Xiaojun went to New York alone to deal with the matter, but did not receive the respect and attention from the other party. Meng Xiaojun was eager to launch "New Dream", and his conflict with Cheng Dongqing, who always wanted to take things slowly, deepened day by day. In the context of the Chinese Embassy in Yugoslavia being bombed by NATO military planes in 1999, Meng Xiaojun, who had a big conflict with Cheng Dongqing, did not leave.

It was not until four years later that the time was right for Meng Xiaojun to propose listing again. With shareholders supporting the listing, Cheng Dongqing insisted on vetoing the listing. At Wang Yang's wedding, Meng Xiaojun and Cheng Dongqing broke up completely. Meng Xiaojun then proposed to withdraw from the stock, leave New Dream, and leave Shenyang.

When ETS America's Prince Publishing House sued New Dream for copyright infringement, Meng Xiaojun returned to New Dream to help Cheng Dongqing tide over the difficulties.
