How does the bench drill cool down?

Cooling oil or coolant is used for heat dissipation.

Because the temperature of the drill bit is softened by friction when it works, cooling is to dissipate heat and maintain hardness. The cooling oil of bench drill bit is used to accelerate heat dissipation. You can't use water for cooling, but use coolant (emulsion). Water will rust and damage the cooling circulation system (pumps, valves and pipes).

Correct operation method of bench drill

Adjustment of spindle speed: it is necessary to select the appropriate speed according to different drill diameters and processing materials. When adjusting, stop the spindle, open the cover, turn the pulley by hand, hang the V belt on the small pulley, and then hang it on the big pulley until the V belt is hung on the appropriate pulley.

Adjustment of the up, down, left and right positions of the workbench: first hold the workbench with your left hand, then loosen the locking handle with your right hand, swing the workbench to move it down or up to the required position, and then lock the locking handle.

Spindle feed position adjustment: Spindle feed is realized by rotating the feed handle. Before drilling, the spindle should be raised and lowered to check whether the working height is appropriate. In addition, there is a bench drill whose workbench is round and can rotate around its cylindrical bed.
