The full score of the IELTS test is 9 points

The IELTS test scores are recorded on the transcript, including a total score and four individual scores of listening, reading, writing and speaking. The scores for each item in listening, speaking, reading and writing are equally weighted. The total score is the average of the scores in the four parts.

Total scores are reported to the nearest whole point or half point. For the avoidance of doubt, the following rounding rules apply: If the decimal place of the average grade is .25, it goes to the next half-batch; if the decimal place of the average grade is .75, it goes to the next whole step.
