Fujian Health Vocational and Technical College is a public full-time general higher education institution approved by the Fujian Provincial People's Government and registered with the Ministry of Education. It mainly trains nursing, pharmacy, medical technology, and clinical medicine. , medical and health talents with technical skills in health management, which was established in 2005 by the merger of Fujian Health School and Fuzhou Health School, and is affiliated to the Fujian Provincial Department of Education.

The predecessor of the college was the Nursing School attached to Fuzhou Magaoai Hospital, which was founded in 1912. It is one of the ten nursing schools registered in China. The college launched the pharmacy and medical laboratory majors in 1954 and is an earlier training base for pharmaceutical and medical laboratory talents in Fujian Province.

In 2008, the college passed the Ministry of Education’s higher vocational college talent training evaluation with the grade of “excellent”. In July 2016, it was officially identified as a “Model Vocational College in Fujian Province” by the Provincial Department of Education, the Provincial Development and Reform Commission, and the Provincial Department of Finance. In 2016, 2017 and 2018, it was identified as a Class A training college in Fujian Province’s Demonstrative Modern Vocational College Construction Project by the Provincial Department of Education and the Provincial Department of Finance for two consecutive years.

External Exchange

The college continues to expand educational exchanges and cooperation. It jointly organizes adult higher education, distance education and self-study examinations for connecting junior colleges and undergraduates with China Pharmaceutical University, Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Fujian Medical University and Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Domestically, it has established friendly partner schools with colleges and universities inside and outside the province such as Tianjin Medical College, Xinjiang Changji Vocational and Technical College, Qinghai Health Vocational and Technical College, Sanming Medical Science and Technology Vocational College, and Fujian Economic School.

It has established cooperative relationships with more than 10 universities abroad (overseas) such as the United States, Japan, Philippines, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao, and has established cooperative relationships with higher vocational colleges in Fujian Province. China holds Sino-foreign cooperative nursing education cooperation projects.
