1. Changbai Mountain Tianchi is located at the top of the volcanic cone of the main peak of Changbai Mountain. In midsummer, because there are relatively few clouds, there is a greater chance to see the true face of Tianchi. The weather at the top of Changbai Mountain is changeable and often overcast. Seeing Tianchi requires luck.

There is a small gap in the north of Tianchi Lake in Changbai Mountain, from which the lake overflows, flows 1000 meters and then falls, forming Changbai Waterfall with a drop of 68 meters, and finally flows into Erdaobai River, which is the source of Songhua River. Standing on the observation deck in front of the waterfall, I saw that the water seemed to fall from the sky and the sound of landing was like thunder. Changbai Mountain Waterfall is located on the northern slope of Tianchi Lake, at the end of Chengcha River. At first glance, the waterfall looks like an inclined ladder because of the steep mountain slope and fast current. There is a boulder at the mouth of the waterfall called "Niulangdu", which divides the waterfall in two. Two jade dragon-like water columns bravely rushed to the protruding stone beach and the deep valley, splashing waves several feet high, like a goddess scattering flowers, filled with water vapor and fog.

It takes five minutes by eco-car from Changbai Waterfall parking lot to reach Xiaotianchi, which is a quiet circular lake with beautiful scenery, reflecting the elegant posture of blue sky, white clouds and trees. After staying here for a few minutes, you can walk back along the plank road. Along the way, you can see Erdaobai River flowing in a narrow canyon. Walk for about 15 minutes, and you can reach the entrance of Lvyuantan.

4. Luyuantan is a pool of clear water in the North Slope Scenic Area. Because its water is extremely green and clear, it is quite like the water of Jiuzhai, so it has the reputation of "Little Jiuzhai in Northeast China". There is a waterfall down the cliff on the side of Luyuantan, which adds color to the pool and has an elegant scenery. The highest drop of Luyuantan Waterfall is 26 meters. The waterfall splashed on the boulder and then flowed into the deep pool. Every time the fog rises, the water mist on the pool is filled with beauty. Visitors can have a panoramic view of the waterfall and Bitan Lake in the remote area of Tantan, or they can go down to the waterfall for a close look. After the tour, I returned along the plank road. On the way, you can see the jade slurry spring, as well as interesting dead trees such as "once in a thousand years" and "I really want to live for another 500 years".

6. Changbai Mountain Waterfall, Julong Hot Springs and the forest at the bottom of the valley in the North Slope Scenic Area are all classic geological wonders. You can also take the reverse station bus to experience the fast curve, and then overlook the beautiful scenery of Tianchi on the steep main peak. To enter the scenic spot, you must take the eco-car to the transfer center first, then you can choose to take the inverted bus to the left main peak to see Tianchi, or you can take the eco-car to the right road to see Changbai Waterfall. If the weather is fine in the morning, you can take advantage of fewer tourists to go to the main peak and take a reverse bus (usually a Mercedes-Benz van, 20 minutes one way) to experience the thrill of Panshan Road's continuous rapid curve crossing.
