This time, during our visit to Jianghuai, the factory arranged for the top management responsible for quality control in the production line to communicate with us on how to control the quality of Jianghuai.

Grasping quality is "very tired"

Interviewee Yang Wenjiang is the deputy general manager in charge of quality management of Jianghuai Passenger Car Company. He planned and built the Jianghuai automobile production line we visited, and he will continue to be responsible for the management after it is put into production. The core problem of managing a production line is to ensure the production quality.

Speaking of quality, Yang Wenjiang's first sentence is: very tired.

Why are you tired? Yang Wenjiang began to explain that quality control in the manufacturing process is something that every enterprise should do, and the management tools and methods adopted by everyone are homogeneous (let's say that Toyota's "lean production" management method has become a common rule in the world). What is the difference? To the extent of "persistence".

"Quality control, is it done by every car, or just by smoking; Do it every day, or do it in a gust of wind, and the result is of course completely different. If others do it again, we will do it three times; People do it once a day, and we have been doing it ... In a highly competitive environment, we insist on doing things with these basic tools and methods. The core here is the word' persistence'. " Yang Wenjiang said.

Therefore, Zuo Yanan, chairman of JAC, also told employees: Be patient enough to grasp quality.

To succeed in grasping quality, we must sum up, unite and observe the festival-the last "observing the festival" was created by Yang Wenjiang himself, which means to persist no matter what difficulties we encounter. There are both technical problems in the production line and the pressure of market competition. When the market is booming, many enterprises try their best to increase production capacity, but Jianghuai still insists on strict quality control and prefers to produce less. When the market was depressed recently, Yang Wenjiang saw that the sales of German cars did not drop significantly, and the sales of independent brands were the most affected, which made him feel once again that the best way to develop steadily and resist all kinds of storms and crises was to do a good job in quality.

The production line is in line with foreign countries

We said that as far as our visit is concerned, this automobile production line of Jianghuai is more advanced than the other two independent brands we have visited before. Yang Wenjiang proudly said that Jianghuai's production line has been "homogenized" with foreign counterparts. "Among the domestic independent brands, I dare say that I can reach the production line level of Jianghuai, but I can't find it."

So confident, he has a factual basis: Jianghuai Automobile Factory covers an area of 1000 mu, with a construction area of 240,000 square meters, with an investment of 2 billion in the first phase and a production capacity of 300,000 vehicles. Yang Wenjiang said that after many independent brands came to communicate, they were amazed that Jianghuai had such great courage and investment. Later, the author also talked with a senior expert who has worked in an international automobile giant for many years. He confirmed to me that a one-time investment of 2 billion to build a production line is indeed a huge sum of money in the world.

Yang Wenjiang then introduced this "proud work" that he was responsible for planning and equipment procurement: there are four automatic lines for stamping, and the equipment is the best. Welding not only has a large number of robots, but also the robots used are the best brands, such as ABB and KUKA. The most expensive inspection equipment in the welding workshop is a KUKA robot in Germany and a laser detector in the United States. The coating line adopts the latest continuous rolling electrophoresis coating process, and the coating is all-water-based. At present, there are only five or six new factories in China (many joint venture brands only use semi-water paint). Water-based coating line is very environmentally friendly, but it requires strict temperature and humidity in the production workshop, and the raw materials have to be supplied by professional manufacturers, so the total cost is high. But these jianghuai are willing to invest.

Yang Wenjiang said, "In the past, China always thought that labor was cheap and robots could be replaced by manpower, but we didn't think so. Only by ensuring the best hardware equipment can quality be guaranteed, and it is definitely not possible to rely on people to ensure quality. "

However, good equipment is only a necessary condition for good quality, not a sufficient condition. "Our hardware equipment is homogenized with foreign countries, and the gap lies in the people who use these devices. Some foreign car factories, production lines and production equipment may be very old, but the quality of the products made is different, so the quality of people is also the key. " Yang Wenjiang introduced that Jianghuai has begun to focus on recruitment. All employees entering the factory have to go through the basic quality and literacy training of "JAC University", and there is also a system to continuously improve employees' skills. But objectively, we lack the accumulation of experienced foreign technicians, which takes time to catch up.

There is a way to improve the quality of parts.
