Development of CSIC Ship Design Research Center Co., Ltd.

As a scientific and technological innovation platform for CSIC civilian ships, CSIC R&D Center makes full use of the advantages of CSIC ship R&D, designs technical resources and human resources, and relies on shipbuilding enterprises and institutions affiliated to CSIC to set up branches in Tianjin and Tianjin. At the same time, through extensive use of domestic and foreign technical resources, Shanghai CSIC Shipbuilding Technology Co., Ltd. was established in Shanghai, which is controlled by the R&D Center of Civil Ships, and four units including China Ship Science Research Center, Wuhan Second Ship Design Institute, Shanghai Jiaotong University and Shanghai Lize Technology Co., Ltd.; In Dalian, CSIC Goldman Marine Engineering Technology (Dalian) Co., Ltd. was established in a joint venture with Fred Goldman Marine Engineering Company of the United States. With the rapid development of ship design center, R&D and design branches will be established in Qingdao, Huludao and Wuhan.

The R&D Civil Ship Center has the advantages of top-level R&D and group-level (enterprise group) design, has the world's advanced ship overall, performance, structural development, design software and production design system software, has strong technical force, and has the R&D and design capabilities of large oil tankers, container ships, bulk carriers, chemical tankers and multi-purpose ships, as well as offshore platforms and floating production storage tankers. Mainly engaged in research, development and design (quotation design, contract design, detailed design and production design), technology transfer, technical consultation and technical services of civil ships and marine engineering.
