Why do companies require high education when recruiting?

Now the society is seriously involved, because diplomas are stuck everywhere. In reality, a diploma can affect promotion to a certain extent, but this is not always reasonable. In some professional fields, having a higher degree may have a positive impact on promotion, because it means that you have deeper professional knowledge and skills. But in other fields, practical experience and work performance may be more important than academic qualifications.

However, it is unreasonable and unfair for a company to deprive employees of promotion opportunities just because they don't have a college degree. Because some people may encounter financial and family difficulties in college education, they cannot finish their studies, but they may have other experiences and skills.

In practical work, the company should evaluate the comprehensive quality and performance of employees, rather than just focusing on academic qualifications. Companies can evaluate whether employees meet the promotion conditions through their actual work performance, professional skills and achievements. For employees with higher education, the company can give higher expectations and higher wages, but this should not be the only evaluation standard.
