What does the grassroots disabled persons' Federation do?

The task of grassroots disabled persons' federations is to help the disabled.

(1) Accurately investigate and master the situation and needs of the disabled, and set up a file to set up a card.

(2) Issue the People's Republic of China (PRC) Disabled Persons' Card.

(3) Close contact with the disabled, listen to opinions, reflect requirements and solve problems.

(4) publicize and implement the law on the protection of the disabled and the laws and regulations on the cause of the disabled, and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the disabled.

(five) unite and educate the disabled, abide by the law, fulfill their obligations, be optimistic and enterprising, self-esteem, self-confidence, self-improvement and self-reliance.

(6) publicize the cause of the disabled, communicate the connection between the government and the disabled, and mobilize the society to understand, respect, care for and help the disabled.

(seven) to assist the government to study, formulate and implement laws, policies and plans for the cause of the disabled, and to take preferential measures to develop and manage the cause of the disabled.

(8) Carry out rehabilitation, education, employment, social security, culture and sports for the disabled, and promote their equality, participation and enjoyment.

At this stage, we have mainly done the following work:

(1) Help the poor and ensure adequate food and clothing.

(2) imparting rehabilitation knowledge and organizing rehabilitation training.

(3) Ensure that disabled children attend school and receive compulsory education.

(4) Providing services for materials and appliances.

(5) Organize vocational and technical training and production skills training.

(6) Assist in arranging employment and supporting productive labor.

(7) Appropriate organization of cultural activities.

Grass-roots disabled persons' federations and grass-roots organizations for the disabled are the key links to carry out the work for the disabled, and they are the important ties to contact the majority of the disabled, shouldering the heavy responsibility of directly listening to their opinions, reflecting their needs and serving them. They are the soil on which the Disabled Persons' Federation lives and the foundation for developing the cause of the disabled.
