1. As far as I know, it seems that foreigners cannot buy a house in Thailand. Thailand is a private ownership system. If they acquire property rights, they will own them forever.

2. Taxes, property fees and so on feel similar to those in China, some cities are expensive and some cities are cheap.

The cost of living is not high, the highest place is Bangkok, but it feels similar to that in China. Other cities are even cheaper.
